Common questions.

Is Atlas Basic really free?

Yes. Atlas Basic keeps your digitised films, photos and audio safe. You can watch them and download your original files whenever you like. It's just for you: to share your archive with family, choose Atlas Family Archive.

How does the free trial work?

When you first sign in, you can choose a 30-day free trial of Atlas Family Archive or Atlas Curate. No card is needed. Your 30 days start once all the files from your EachMoment order are in Atlas. If you don't subscribe by the end, your archive moves to Atlas Basic and your files stay.

Who can use my Family Archive?

You and up to 4 family members, each with their own sign-in. If you need more, extra seats are 99p a month or £9.99 a year each.

What is Atlas Curate?

Atlas Curate has the same features as Atlas Family Archive, for one person or an organisation. It comes with 1 seat, and you can add more. Email app@atlasarchive.org for pricing.

What is Atlas World?

Atlas World is where you can enjoy clips that other families have chosen to add. Nothing from your archive is added unless you choose it, and you can take a clip off again at any time. Only people signed in to Atlas can see it.

How does Atlas help me organise my archive?

On Atlas Family Archive and Atlas Curate, Atlas suggests titles, dates, places and names for your films and photos, so you can search them and build your family tree. You decide what's right. This only starts once you agree to it in the app, and you can turn it off in Settings. Atlas Basic doesn't use AI on your files. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Atlas Basic is free, so there's nothing to cancel. If you cancel Atlas Family Archive, your files stay and your archive moves to Atlas Basic. The names, dates and other details are kept, locked, for 12 months in case you come back.

Do you ever delete my files?

Not without warning. If we ever change Atlas Basic, we'll email you at least 30 days before, so you have time to download your files. If you delete your account, your files are deleted straight away, so download them first from Settings → Download my files.
